Stuff Test Electric Harley Davidson

stuff-harley-davidson-livewireIf you enjoy the open road on two wheels as well as four, popular gadget magazine “Stuff” have published a test of Harley-Davidson’s LiveWire electric motorbike that you’ll enjoy.

Harley Davidson don’t seem like the obvious source for an electric motorbike, since their brand is built on heritage, noise and vibration rather than the latest technology or their eco-friendly credentials.

With a claimed 0-60mph time of less than 4 seconds, the LiveWire is no slouch – although its top speed of “only” 91mph might not suit some of the less law-abiding bikers out there.

Key drawback of the current prototype is a claimed range of only 53 miles. ¬†As you’re likely to get even less in the real world, that seriously restricts the journeys that the LiveWire is useful for.

Even so, it’s an interesting looking machine – and if Harley-Davidson can do something about the range without adding too much weight, it might find a niche in the market.

No news on price yet – as the bike hasn’t yet made into production.
